Where’s This?

In the greener future we want to see. This house, designed in Wales by architect Mark Waghorn, reflects our priorities too

Updating the Equation

Pat is working on a sequel to Solving the Grim Equation: Part 1, imagined diary set in 2036 and 2037. Part 2, actual diary in 2021 and 2022. Part 3, why the world’s most powerful people will not care enough about the impacts of global heating on suffering populations.

Pat argues that adaptation rather than mitigation is the best way forward, and that means living very differently: less commuting, more home-based and local work and leisure, and much shorter supply chains.

“Content was thoroughly researched, cogent and thought provoking. [Pat] clearly understands her subjects deeply and has the ability not only to explain them to the layman but also to offer valuable commentary and analysis, rather than merely rehashing factual information.” — Dominic
